The short answer

In short: you send a requirement; we find suitable options, quote in writing and, once you approve, coordinate purchase and delivery in Nigeria. Vastlane manages procurement and supply-contract execution — from a specification, RFQ, BOQ, material list or supply-contract brief — and confirms feasibility and scope in writing first. This page sets out the scope, controls and who does what.

What you can send us

  • A technical specification or approved datasheet
  • An RFQ, tender schedule or bill of quantities
  • A supply-contract brief or award schedule
  • A material list or multi-line requirement
  • Part numbers, serial or nameplate details, or a photograph of the item
  • Drawings
  • A plain description of the work the equipment must do

Incomplete is fine. Where a detail is missing, we ask for it rather than silently substitute an assumption.

What we procure

Procurement sectors
SectorTypical requirements
Agriculture & food productionTractors and implements, irrigation, harvesting, rice and feed processing, livestock equipment, parts
Construction & infrastructureEarthmoving and road plant, cranes and forklifts, scaffolding and access, site generators and pumps, attachments and spares
Industrial, energy & oil and gasEngines and generator sets, pumps and compressors, pipeline valves, motors and MRO spares
Fleet, trucks & vehiclesCommercial trucks, fleet and utility vehicles, cars and SUVs, vehicle parts, sourced from suitable source markets

How the procurement runs

  1. Requirement received.
  2. Specification clarified, including acceptance evidence, quantity, destination and date; feasibility and scope confirmed in writing.
  3. Suitable suppliers and sourcing routes researched.
  4. Suitable options and their available evidence compared against the requirement.
  5. Written quotation with scope, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions and validity.
  6. You approve in writing and fund the authorised step.
  7. Purchase, expediting and agreed inspection or evidence steps coordinated.
  8. Freight, and insurance where it applies, coordinated.
  9. Customs clearance coordinated through appropriate parties.
  10. Delivery to the confirmed destination. Throughout, Vastlane coordinates the approved procurement steps and communicates the transaction-specific requirements in writing.

Not every requirement needs every step. A single part may skip inspection; a project package may add witness testing. The quotation states which steps apply.

Controls you can rely on

  • Nothing is purchased without your written approval and cleared funds for that step.
  • Known costs and assumptions are documented in the quotation, with variable third-party costs shown as such.
  • Available identity, condition, manufacturer and test evidence is shared before purchase.
  • Any deviation from your specification is put to you in writing before it is accepted.

When we're the right fit, and when you need someone else

Is Vastlane the right route?
A good fit when…Another provider is better when…
The item isn't in local stock, or you want to compare international optionsYou need an item from a local shelf today
A multi-line requirement needs one coordinatorThe work is installation, construction or EPC execution
You want documented evidence before payingYour project requires a specific authorised dealer for warranty
You have a specification and a delivery site, but no supply routeThe requirement needs engineering design or certification, which stay with qualified engineers and certifying bodies

Every requirement is reviewed first. Feasibility and scope are confirmed in writing, and only then does Vastlane manage the approved procurement route. We don't take on prohibited, sanctioned or unlawful requirements.

Vastlane is not a manufacturer, authorised distributor, engineering authority or certification body unless a quotation states that status for a specific item, with evidence.

What to include in your requirement

  • What the item is, or the work it must do
  • Make, model or part number where known
  • Specification, datasheet or BOQ as an attachment
  • Quantity and acceptable condition
  • Evidence, inspection or warranty you need
  • Delivery state and city, and the required date
  • A budget range, if you have one

For specific product families, see the pipeline valve RFQ checklist or the vehicle requirement checklist.
